Press conference of new NHK drama "Nigeru Onna"

The press conference of NHK drama "Nigeru Onna" (The Escaping Woman) was held at Yokohama on 17 November which was attended by cast members Mizuno Miki, Naka Riisa, Endo Kenichi and Kaku Kento. The drama which begins its run from 9 January 2016 in the Saturdays 10pm timeslot, features Mizuno as the lead character who served a prison sentence of 8 years for a crime she did not commit but ends up having her life messed up again when she meets a young female murderer played by Naka after her release from jail.

As part of preparations for her role, Naka dyed her hair silver and said that she didn't expect having to take pictures and be interviewed in this image. However, she relished the challenge of taking on this role and said that it was a thrilling experience. During the filming in her hometown Nagasaki between the end of October and early November, Naka recounted that it didn't seem like she was working then because she was happy about being able to meet up with her cousin and her aunt even came to visit her on the set. Naka also revealed that one of the more memorable scenes involving her and Mizuno was when she had to finish a bowl of chanpon and leave the restaurant immediately which had to be done in one take. However, due to the need to change the position of the camera, she had to do it two times. Coupled with the bowl of chanpon she had for lunch before the filming, Naka said that she ended up eating three bowls of the same thing that day.

Naka've been interviewed more than Mizono who is the lead.
