Sato Ryuta to play Nagano Mei's uncle in new movie "Hirunaka no Ryuusei"

Sato Ryuta will be playing Nagano Mei's uncle in the new movie "Hirunaka no Ryuusei" which will be shown in cinemas from 24 March 2017. The movie is based on the same-titled manga by Yamamori Mika which was serialised in "Magaret" from 2011 and 2014 and had sold more than 2 million copies to date.

The film features Nagano as the lead character Yosano Suzume, a senior high school student who transfers from the suburbs to a school in Tokyo because her parents are working overseas and she moves to stay with her uncle. Although Suzume has never fallen in love with anyone, she experiences her first love when she gets caught in a love triangle with her form teacher Shishio Satsuki played by Miura Shohei and her classmate Mamura Daiki played by GENERATIONS' Shirahama Alan. Sato plays the role of Kumamoto Yukichi who is like a father to Suzume while she is in Tokyo.

Sato commented that this is the first time he has worked with Nagano and the time passed by so quickly. He felt that she was a perfect fit for her character and expressed his wish to work with her again in future.

Filming started in early October and took two months to be completed.
