First-day-screening event of new movie "Neko Atsume no Ie"

The first-day-screening event of new movie "Neko Atsume no Ie" was held at Shinjuku Musashinokan on 8 April which was attended by the director Kurakata Masatoshi and cast members Ito Atsushi, Kutsuna Shiori and Okubo Kayoko. Ito plays the lead character Sakumoto Masaru who is a novelist facing a slump in his work and decides to move to a tranquil place on a whim. While there, he encounters many cats and through his interaction with them, his life slowly changes as well.

Ito who worked with Okubo for the first time in this movie, commented that his impression of her had changed completely as she was very serious about her acting. Upon hearing this, Okubo thanked Ito for his compliment and said that she also enjoyed working with him this year. Despite Okubo's appearance time in the movie being rather limited, she joked that she insisted on attending the event. The cast also commented to the audience that this heartwarming movie features a lot of cute cats and hoped that everyone can watch it for themselves in the cinemas.
