First-day-screening event of new movie "Hagane no Renkin Jutsushi"

The first-day-screening event of new movie "Hagane no Renkin Jutsushi" was held at Marunouchi Picadilly on 2 December which was attended by the director Sori Fumihiko and cast members Yamada Ryosuke, Honda Tsubasa, Dean Fujioka, Renbutsu Misako, Hongo Kanata, Uchiyama Shinji, Sato Ryuta, Kohinata Fumio, Matsuyuki Yasuko and Mizuishi Atomu. Yamada commented that the filming was done about one and a half years ago so he was very excited that the film was finally released. The director also commented that he was very touched and close to tears upon seeing the packed cinema hall and said that they had tried their best to convey the essence of the original manga through this movie.

Kohinata who plays General Halcrow in the movie, revealed that his sons were elated when the offer for the role came while Matsuyuki also echoed the same and said that her son had told her to take on the role of Lust. She even brought her son to the studio to observe the filming and he even got to talk to Yamada and the director which made him very happy. Hongo who plays Envy said that regardless of how the movie does in the box office, he hopes that there would be a sequel and went on to praise Yamada for bringing out his birthday present at the right timing when they last gathered for the Japan premiere event.

The original manga's author Arakawa Hiromu prepared a surprise present i.e. a drawing of an action scene in the movie which made Yamada exclaim in joy. Yamada commented that being a fan of the original manga, he felt so happy to be able to act in the movie and have Arakawa draw an action scene featuring him. Arakawa also had some comments which were read aloud where he said that the movie had condensed the key episodes in the story into a 2-hour movie and he was very entertained by the cast's performance. Arakawa then suggested that everyone should also support other movies featuring the cast but "accidentally" made a blunder by promoting "Tantei wa BAR ni iru 3" which is actually from another movie company.
