New supporting cast announcement for TV Asahi Winter 2018 drama "BG ~ Shinpen Keigonin ~"

A new batch of supporting cast announcements for TV Asahi Winter 2018 drama "BG ~ Shinpen Keigonin ~" starring Kimura Takuya had been made. The drama which begin its run from 18 January in the Thursdays 9pm timeslot, features Kimura as the lead character Shimazaki Akira who starts work as a bodyguard in a private security company and doesn't hold any guns or weapons in the course of his work. Shimazaki used to be a capable bodyguard but quit and became a security guard at a construction site. While hiding his past, Shimazaki becomes a bodyguard again and goes through his daily work with other newbie bodyguards. As such, he will have to depend on his skills and quick thinking to assess the situation while ensuring the safety of his clients and not going overboard beyond the line of self-defense. In addition, he has to obey the orders of his clients and protect anyone who becomes his client regardless of their identities. At home, he is a single father to a junior high school boy and has communication issues with his son.


Nagashima Toshiyuki will be playing Imazeki Shigenobu, the president of Hinode Keibi Hoshou which Akira works at while Akira's son Shun who is in junior high school will be played by Tanaka Kanau. Ukaji Takashi will be playing Hikawa Osamu who is the section chief of the Metropolitan Police Department's Security Protection section and Abe Shinnosuke will play his subordinate Kiyota Harutaka. Last but not least, Mitsushima Shinnosuke will play a professional soccer player Kouno Junya who Akira was protecting 6 years ago and what happened between them was what led to Akira quitting his job back then.

It was also revealed that Ibu Masato will be appearing in the first episode as Ookubo Sasuke, the chairman of Sasuke Foods who is supposed to be protected by Akira and his colleagues. Katsuji Ryo will be playing Inugai Satoru, a magazine reporter who is on friendly terms with Tachihara Aiko (Ishida Yuriko) who is the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare.
